21 Days, No Complaints

If you're by me you'll notice I have a 21 on my hand.  I’m working on a little self-improvement endeavor to be more positive, constructive and finishing what I start.  It takes 21 days to make a habit - so this 21 is the beginning of my countdown to cultivating a helpful life habit.

Objective: no ‘complaining’ for 21 days, where complaining is  describing an event or person negatively without indicating next steps to fix the problem.  If you see me doing it, kindly remind me to reflect by saying the code word ‘Armadillo’, and I will note erase whatever day I’m at and start over at 21.  The code word is important; I've chosen Armadillo for obvious reasons, but you can choose something else. . .

Examples

Following the above definition, both of the following would require starting over:
“Man, I went into the post office and had to stand behind this rude jerk for 30 minutes. What a waste of time.”

The following variation would NOT require starting over:
“Man, I went into the post office and had to stand behind this rude guy for 30 minutes. It was a waste of time. From now on, I’ll go in the mornings before 10am to avoid the crowd.”

If anyone would like to join me, check out the article below and let me know so we can go around talking about rainbows and puppies together J

Be Happy,
Z
